This scene was a sample of how Alsea hopes that the brand that has just arrived in the country will live: “It is the culture that arrives in Uruguay,” said the person in charge of leading the landing of the brand, Nicolás Iribarne.
But in addition to the work culture, the international food chain arrived in Uruguay with other general characteristics.
Iribarne highlighted three. First of all, he said that all products are fresh and home-made. And that is why they have a processing center next door.
Second, he pointed out that the pizzas are made fresh. Thirdly, he affirmed that the brand seeks a good experience for each of its customers and presented an example through which they hope to fulfill it: “We have a delivery that we are going to carry out ourselves with the challenge of having the best delivery times of the market,” he said.
The place and the prices
As well as the culture and work strategies, the aesthetics of the establishment are also similar to those of the rest of the world.
The first Domino’s Pizza location has two floors. In the first is the kitchen and in front of it, two boxes where customers must place their order. In addition —and with the aim of facilitating the choice—, enicma there are three screens that show the options: entry, main and dessert, and discounted combos.
At the opening, the first screen showed the sign: “Enjoy the classics” featuring the mozzarella pizza and the pizza with pepperoni. It also showed the sale sizes, and the prices. Medium ($500) and large ($600) or $50 more in each case if a taste was added. The second screen presented the special pizzas, already with higher prices: from $600 to $850. In the last one, family combos were exchanged, with the starter and dessert options: cheese sticks or garlic sticks and “bites” of dulce de leche, respectively.
The first floor also has a few tables for those who choose to eat there.
