After the transport union “Sister Routes” will announce the blocking of various roads of Mexico City and the State of Mexico to demand an end to the violence, several of these were canceled.
He blockade was scheduled to begin on Friday, the roads that would be blocked were: the Mexico-Cuautla Highway, Mexico-Texcoco Highway, Circuito Exterior Mexiquense, Mexico-Pachuca Highway, Paseo Tollocan-Toluca, Periférico and Pantitlán Avenue, Bordo de Xochiaca, Calzada Ignacio Zaragoza, next to the Peñón Metro.
Why was the megablock canceled?
However, yesterday they reached an agreement with the Mexican authorities, so they will only carry out a march that will end in the Zócalo of Mexico City and there will be three routes that will be taken.
This was reported by the Secretary of Mobility of the State of Mexico, Daniel Sibaja, He said that the union’s demands will be attended to by different government agencies. The three affected routes will be:
- Pantitlán Avenue
- Xochiaca board
- Mexico-Puebla, near Los Reyes la Paz
They are expected to take to the avenues around 2,000 members with 500 unitswho want the authorities to pay attention to the wave of violence, the homicides of their colleagues and extortions of which they are constantly victims. It should be remembered that this is not the first time that they have demanded protection from the authorities.
