What is Conect@SIS and how will it help care for insured people in the country?

Today, the Ministry of Health (Minsa) and the Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS) presented Conec@SIS, a project designed to optimize the management and access to health coverage.

Preliminarily, it will work in the main hospitals and institutes of Metropolitan Lima, as part of the electronic modernization in the health sector. The processing of care forms in hospitals and national institutes of the Ministry of Health and Regional Governments will decrease from 28 to three days.

Luis Quiroz Avilés, director of the SIS, highlighted the importance of Conect@SIS, since it is proof of the modernization and digitalization of health services to guarantee efficient and accessible coverage for the nearly 27 million insured throughout the country. .

“Conect@SIS is not only a fundamental step in the digitalization of our services, but also represents the commitment of the health sector to provide quality care that responds to the needs of our insured at the time and place they require it.” stated Quiroz.

How will care improve?

It will allow information to be integrated in real time, allowing health centers to quickly access the data necessary to provide coverage to SIS policyholders. In addition, it will facilitate the work of health teams, ensuring that consultations and administrative procedures are more effective.
