What is a bibliographic alert? Learn about the digital information resources offered by the Library of Congress

More than 300 bibliographic alerts are available on the web portal of the Library of Congress of the Republic “César Vallejo”. Bibliographic alerts are documents detailing the books, journal articles and other information resources referring to specific topics and that are available for consultation.

Citizens will be able to access said information through the link . The bibliographic alerts are prepared by specialists from the Library Area of the National Parliament and are segmented according to the topic they address in 24 folders, one for each Ordinary Commission of the Congress of the Republic.

“One of our functions is to provide library and information services using new technologies. In this sense, what we are looking for is to publicize the bibliographic material that we have and that is available to both citizens and congressional workers for any study or research,” said the head of the Library Area, José Cevallos.

It should be noted that some bibliographic alert folders also include complete books and/or articles, digitized and translated into Spanish. Likewise, the César Vallejo Library, through its web portal, offers free access electronic resources and the reference service “Ask a librarian”.
