MADRID, Spain.- Cuban actor Rodolfo Faxas, who has lived in Miami for about five years, is remembered in Cuba especially for his role as David, a marine biologist, in the soap opera Dust in the windFaxas achieved great popularity thanks to this character, one of the first in his career.
Before emigrating from Cuba, Faxas participated in a number of relevant projects within the Cuban audiovisual scene. Among his most notable works are the television drama The Black Heraldsdirected by Charlie Medina, and the work of Paco Anca, In my own words. In addition, he was part of the cast of the successful film The horn of plentydirected by the filmmaker Juan Carlos Tabio.
Upon arriving in Miami, where he was reunited with his daughter, Faxas had to find new ways to make a living, and took on jobs outside of acting, such as gardening and construction. However, despite the pause in his artistic career, he never completely left the world of entertainment.
In Miami he has participated in comedy shows such as Kicking the can down the road USA. His most recent foray into the screen was with the series Crime in Miamibroadcast by the PRONYR TV platform, where in one of its chapters He plays a man who is the victim of his partner’s deception. This production has been well received by the Latino community in the United States and features the participation of other Cuban actors, such as Kelvyn Espinosa.
In addition to not giving up his passion for acting, Faxas has found success in the business field. Together with his wife, model Sol Rodriguez, he runs a car dealership in Miami.
