EDEESTE reports that it has carried out “important” work at the Hainamosa substation with the purpose of eliminating interruptions caused by the considerable growth in electricity demand in the area. This growth has driven the need to optimize electrical infrastructure to benefit more than 103,592 customers and users in 75 sectors.
According to a press release, the Hainamosa substation went from having a demand of 37 MVA in 2020 to 66.3 MVA in 2024, which represents a growth of 80% during the period 2020-2024, with an average annual increase of 16% .
Among the sectors that will experience improvements in service quality are Beauty of the Altos, Buenaventura II, Cabirma del Este, Residencial Corales, Villa Liberación, El Almirante, Los Molinos, Los Pinos, Tamarindo, San Luis, Caña Linda, El Bonito, Cortebolo, Hato Viejo, El Perla and Los Solares-Villa Releaseamong others.
These works ensure greater stability and continuity in the electricity supply, favoring the well-being and development of the communities. EDEESTE remains committed to the implementation of sustainable solutions that optimize electrical service in all the areas it covers.
As part of its improvement plans, EDEESTE announces that a new transformer will be installed next November 138/12.5 kV and 50 MVA in the Hainamosa substation, with an investment of more than RD$85 million. This investment will guarantee sustained growth in the coming years, ensuring that the growing demand for energy is supplied reliably.
With these initiatives, EDEESTE reaffirms its commitment to continue strengthening the electrical service, improving quality and ensuring a stable supply for the communities that rely on its service.
