What does Raquel Arbaje want at the end of Abinader’s second term? She answers

Santo Domingo.- The first lady Rachel Arbaje He said on Thursday that during the presidential administration of Luis Abinader National democracy has been strengthened and he hopes that at the end of this second term, his family can retire with the certainty of having done the best they could for the country.

He also acknowledged that there is still much to be done.

“Democracy has been strengthened, we still have a long way to go, but I hope that when Luis and I are there, our family can come down those steps of the Palace saying ‘we did the best we could,’” Arbaje said during her first interview after four years as First Lady of the Republic.

He also said that Abinader is, in his opinion, one of the best presidents the country has had, capable of getting rid of the Public Ministry so that it can act independently.

“If we look at the example that Luis has given as a ruler, how he responds to everyone, how he tries to be approachable, a man who is shy, very reserved but is a noble person… For me, one of the best presidents that the Dominican Republic will have in these centuries, truly,” he said.

The First Lady’s statements were made during an interview with journalist Edith Febles for the morning program El Día, on Telesistema channel 11.
