In July, three consecutive months were spun with arrivals of resources above 5,000 million dollars. In the monthly comparison, remittances had an increase of 3%.
The accumulated amount from January to July of this year, remittances total 32,812 million dollars, 16.4% more than in the same period of 2021.
“The growth of this indicator is not attributed to a local economic recovery, but to the efforts of migrants who send resources mainly from the United States,” said Janneth Quiroz, deputy director of Economic Analysis at Monex.
The average remittance transfer in July was 406 dollars per transaction.
