SANTO DOMINGO.-After the results of the autopsy performed on the adolescent Esmeralda Richiez who was found dead in her room in Higüey, which establishes that she died torn to pieces after being subjected to violent sexual activity, came to light, questions arise about how it is possible that a penetration can end the life of a woman.
And it is that this situation, although it is not common, the specialists usually see the tears in cases of early relationships of girls with adults, rapes, wild sex and even bad positions when carrying out this activity.
To put the context, according to the analyzes carried out by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (inacif) the adolescent was subjected to violent sexual activity, which caused bleeding, which led to a hypovolemic shock.
The tear occurs when the opening of a tissue occurs, which subsequently generates the heavy bleeding.
The gynecologists Wilson Roa and Yudelky Mercedes narrated, separately, that this is also due to the lack of lubrication of the walls of the vaginal cavity, which is what allows the reproductive organ to have a certain elasticity, not only during intercourse. but also in labor.
So when there is a aggressive sexual act the vagina can lose flexibility, then the penis due to its friction in the activity would cause the rupture or rupture of some blood vessels.
In this sense, it is important to remember that the vagina is a muscular tube or conduit lined with mucous membranes, which has a varied blood supply by segments or thirds.

Roa maintained that a tear in a relationship is more than enough to cause bleeding, which if not acted on time can lead to fatal consequences such as that of Esmeralda Richiez, where the main suspect in the event is Professor John Kelly Martínez.
Roa recounted, for example, that on one occasion a patient came to him with a transvaginal hemorrhage and when they were investigating in the operating room the patient was shocked, confirming that the patient had a tear up to the cervix.
“When you tear the bottom of the douglas bag, which is where the vagina is connected behind the neck, there are abundant cervical vessels that bleed in sheets; there are vessels that come from the hypogastric artery and this comes from the descending aorta that bleed as if it were a key, ”he said.
He explained that it is not frequent, but when tears like this occur, if the bleeding is not dealt with quickly, the patient could die, indicating that in the case he narrated, they even had to “push a wet compress into the vagina until it reached the anesthesiologist” and thus prevent his death.
Meanwhile, Mercedes maintained that if there is a tear and it is not corrected in time, it can cause severe hypovolemia, becoming fatal for the woman.
He stressed that these situations also often occur when men take drugs to improve sexual potency.
