Currently the health system in Colombia It is organized in different affiliation regimes. In this sense, the EPS that carry out operations in different territories of the country have some differences due to the population they serve. What are your guys?
According to information published in a document available on the website of administrator of the resources of the General System of Social Security (ADRES) on Colombian soil, four types of entities work.
1. EPS of the contributory regime
They are all companies in which their affiliates have the financial means to pay the health service from their salary.
2. EPS of the subsidized regime
The most vulnerable inhabitants can receive medical attention and is funded directly by the State.

What is the classification according to its legal nature?

How much is the period of permanence that an affiliate in an EPS must meet before moving?
As reported by the official portal of the Ministry of Health, the time of permanence must be one year before another EPS can be transferred considering the right to free choice.

“There is no place for the minimum period of permanence to be required when the person changes their place of residence to another municipality and in it does not operate the EPS to which it is affiliated,” they said
