What are the tolls that will increase in price starting in January?

This Friday the Ministry of Works Public and Communications (MOPC) and the Trust RD Vial announced an increase in fee of some tolls of the country, but what are these tolls?

The authorities explained that some toll stations, which currently have a fee From 60 pesos they will go to 100 pesos, to align with other roads, such as the Santo Domingo Beltway and the Eastern road corridors.

This adjustment will be implemented from Wednesday January 15 of 2025. tolls what will they be affected due to the increase from 60 pesos to 100 pesos are: Las Américas, 6 November, Duarte, Sanchez and The Coral 1.

In the case of those on the Northeast Highway (Marbella, Guaraguao, Orange, Katey) HE will add category 5 for vehicles with seven axles or more. In the statement, Public Works does not offer more details.

  • Toll Katey: Located on the Juan Pablo II highway, kilometer 225, in the municipality of Samaná, Samaná province. It is the fourth and last of the Northeast Highway of the Dominican Republic.
  • Toll Sanchez: Located at kilometer 12 of the highway Sanchezwhich leads to San Cristóbal.
  • Toll El Coral 1: This toll is located at kilometer 18 of the El Coral highway, facilitating communication between tourist destinations such as La Romana, Bayahíbe, Higüey, Punta Cana, Bávaro, Cap Cana, Macao and Uvero Alto.
