What are the paid permits that a Colombian worker can request in 2026?

What are the four paid leaves that an employee can request?

4. Disability due to strong menstrual cycles: The reform also provides for specific paid leave for women who experience painful menstrual cycles or conditions such as endometriosis, as long as a health professional certifies it.

Although these leaves are paid and mandatory for employers, They are not granted automatically. The law requires that the worker present the corresponding documents or supports to justify the absence, such as medical certificates, school certificates or official summonses, before or after the requested date, as the case may be.
