The Congress today will begin the debate for the eighth Retirement of AFP funds. To do this, the Economy Commission has summoned representatives of the Superintendence of Banking and AFP (SBS), Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) and the AFP Association.
Some legislators have even stated that today the legislative initiative that, if approved by Parliament, would be approved by the Executive, as reported by President Dina Boluarte.

What consequences will the eighth retirement bring?
In a presentation before the Congress Economy Commission, from the SBS they warned that an eighth withdrawal would mean that more than S/26,000 million, approximately 25% of the total fund would leave.
He also warned that affiliates over 40, who represent 45% of the total, would withdraw 74% of the total, which would have very little time to recover. In addition, he said that withdrawing 4 UIT would represent more than 10 years of continuous savings for a person who receives the vital minimum.
Similarly, he indicated that median age people would have to wait between 11 and 16 years after 65 years to recover the retired. Older adults, meanwhile, would run out of health.
