The Dominican government provided subsidies in the amount of 269.2 million pesos with the objective of keeping the price of four essential fuels “so that consumers are not affected.”
The information was offered by the Vice Minister of Internal Trade of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs (MICM), Ramón Pérez Fermín, who added that the subsidy will be for the week from January 4 to 10, 2025.
In that order, he said that the Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) for 21.78 pesos; Regular Diesel, for 11.50 pesos; Optimal Gasoil for 8.61 pesos, and Regular Gasoline for 4.79 pesos, with the purpose of avoiding transferring to Dominican families the impact of the behavior of the international market.

In this sense, the MICM established that, for the week of January 4 to 10, 2025, the fuels are sold at the following prices:
- Premium gasoline will be sold at 290.10 pesos per gallon, maintaining its price.
- Regular Gasoline 272.50 pesos per gallon, maintains its price.
- Regular Diesel 221.60 pesos per gallon, maintains its price.
- Optimal Gasoil 239.10 pesos per gallon, maintains its price.
- Avtur 197.22 pesos per gallon, up 1.31 pesos
- Kerosene 227.50 pesos per gallon, up 1.30 pesos
- Fuel Oil #6 159.63 pesos per gallon increases 0.14
- Fuel Oil 1%S RD$173.24 per gallon increases RD$1.15
- Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) RD$132.60 per gallon maintains its price.
- Natural Gas RD$43.97 per m³ maintains its price.
