Peravia. – The executive director of the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewage (INAPA)Wellington Arnaud, led a community meeting this Tuesday in the Peravia province, as part of its program of meetings with community leaders and presidents of neighborhood associations.
During the activity, Arnaud listened carefully to the concerns of the attendees and reaffirmed his commitment to offering solutions to the problems presented.
The official highlighted the progress in the construction of important water infrastructure works in the province. Among them, he noted that:
The Multiple Aqueducte El Limonal-La Vereda-Río Arriba has a progress of 90% and It will be completed within a period of three months.
The Las Tablas-Galeón Multiple Aqueduct is 80% complete, with networks installed and communities already receiving drinking water.

In addition, he announced that the Villa Güera drinking water supply system project will be put out to tender in the first quarter of next year. He also ordered his technical team to carry out a comprehensive evaluation of the sanitary sewage system of the municipality of Baní to install networks in the sectors that still lack this service.
Drinking water and sanitation
Arnaud stressed that the administration headed by President Luis Abinader prioritizes bringing drinking water and sanitation services to all Dominican homes, highlighting the importance of these initiatives to improve the health and quality of life of the communities.
The meeting was attended by local leaders such as Constantino Castillo, president of the Mejía Báez Neighborhood Council; Ángela Sánchez, representative of Villa Boston; and Bellanira González, president of the Nuevo Milenio Neighborhood Council, among others.
Wellington Arnaud was accompanied by the mayor of the municipality of Baní, Santos Ramírez; the deputy director of INAPA, Wáscar Martínez; and other key officials, such as José Aybar, director of Supervision and Supervision of Works; Luis José Popa, Director of Operations; and Melvin Ramírez, provincial manager.
