Wellington Arnaud establishes a commission to oversee the construction of the Tenares sewerage system

The executive director of the National Institute of Drinking Water and Sewerage (INAPA), Wellington Arnaud, supervised the construction work on the sanitary sewerage system in the municipality of Tenares, where he met with contractors accompanied by local authorities.

The official said that the work is progressing according to schedule.

«President Luis Abinader promised this work and we are fulfilling it. This is a project that requires the participation not only of the authorities, but of the entire society»the official said.

In this regard, Arnaud formed the oversight committee, which will be composed of the authorities of the province; the businessman Jose Anibal Garciapresident of the board of directors of the Provincial Development Council (as coordinator); and all the active forces of this demarcation.

The project includes the installation of 62 kilometers of collection pipes, more than 3,000 connections and a treatment plant.

It also includes the construction of more than a thousand reinforced concrete manholes and a treatment plant with the capacity to treat a flow of 550 gallons per minute.

The project will benefit a population of 19,000 people with an investment of one billion pesos.

On its journey, Arnaud was accompanied by Maria Mercedes Ortiz (Mecho), elected senator of the Hermanas Mirabal province; the governor Lisette Nicasio; and the mayor of Tenares, Kelvin de Jesus Herreraamong others.
