The governor of the state of Lara, Adolfo Pereira, reported that the rains on Saturday, February 11 and 12 affected the Andrés Eloy Blanco municipality with flooding in the Sabana Grande farmhouse. He explained that in the Morán municipality the flooding of streams in Humocaro Bajo was reported; while in Jiménez there were damages due to the overflow of the storm aqueduct while in Torres the road
After the rainfall this weekend in the state of Lara, the entity’s governor, Adolfo Pereira, accompanied by his team, offered an assessment of the effects caused by the rains in several municipalities of the state.
“We want to inform the community that so far material losses, flooded homes and overflowing streams have been reported at different points in the state,” said the regional president.

These precipitations “are due to a line of atmospheric instability in the center-west of the country, there are 4 houses affected in Concepción, 12 houses in the Guerrera Ana Soto parish, specifically in the Jacinto Lara and Tierra Prometida sectors,” he added that in Buena Vista there was a landslide just like in Ribereña avenue.
The Andrés Eloy Blanco municipality was affected by flooding the Sabana Grande hamlet, in the Morán municipality the flooding of streams in Humocaro Bajo was reported, in Jiménez there were damages due to the overflow of the storm aqueduct while in Torres the road was affected due to a culvert that yielded, “this is in the Puente Bolívar section to the Altagracia sector,” he pointed out.
Pereira called for prudence and to be alert to rainfall that may be generated in the coming hours and days, commenting that the Risk Management System is active to deal with emergencies while he said that the People’s Power Secretariat for Social Development and the Secretariat of Popular Power for Health have been deployed to care for those affected.
