Mexico City prepares to celebrate the Day of the Dead with a series of cultural and traditional events that honor loved ones who have already left our side, but who we remember on these dates at the altar.

Saturday October 25
- Horror junk race
It is organized by the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) and will be held in the Historic Center. After the race you can take photos with the botargas and receive the traditional skull. The appointment is on Avenida Juárez at 5:00 p.m.
- Night Ride “Move by Bike”
Cyclists, skaters and pedestrians will travel a 19-kilometer circuit along Paseo de la Reforma and the Historic Center. Participants can dress up and decorate their bikes. The starting point will be the Glorieta of the Diana the Huntressfrom 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Sunday October 26
- Monumental Offering in the Zócalo
The traditional Monumental Offering is installed in the Plaza de la Constitución, in the heart of the Historic Center. This year, It will be inaugurated at 12:00 p.m.with a theme that pays tribute to Tonantzin, the Mexican mother goddess, with figures more than 10 meters high, marigold flowers and papel picado. It will be open to the public every day until November 2.
- Mega Procession of Catrinas
In this parade you will see Catrines and Catrinas move from Paseo de la Reforma to the Zócalo. The appointment is at the Ángel de la Independencia at 5:50 p.m., although it is recommended to arrive early because the main stage next to the Angel will begin with different activities starting at 2:00 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday
The Futurama Cultural Center will have a horror festival, with movie screenings themed decoration, cosplayers, trivia, prizes and special snacks. The address is at Cerrada de Otávalo 15, Lindavista, Gustavo A. Madero, the cost of the ticket is 55 pesos that will be donated to different NGOs and these are the programming for this weekend:
Saturday October 25: The Nun – 12:30 p.m. / The Fly – 3:30 p.m. / The Exorcist – 6:30 p.m.
Sunday October 26: Halloween II – 12:30 p.m. / It – 3:30 p.m. / The Conjuring – 6:30 p.m. On this day there will also be the Collector Bazar, aimed at horror collecting.
- Coffee, chocolate and bread of the dead fair
You can find coffee beans and ground, as well as artisanal chocolate from different parts of Mexico, in addition to the traditional bread of the dead in many varieties, you just have to go to the Churubusco Convention Center on Calzada de Tlalpan number 1,721, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday.

- Cempasuchil Flower Festival
You will see that the producers of this plant will decorate between the Ángel de la Independencia and the Glorieta del Ahuehuete, in addition to offering derivative products from cempasúchil from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., until November 2.
The Monumental Alebrijes Parade exhibition will have nearly 200 pieces displayed outdoors that you can enjoy from the Angel of Independence to the Estela de Luz, 24 hours a day until November 9.
- International Festival of Lights
The Mexico International Light Festival “Solo la Luz” will be from the Angel of Independence to the Estela de Luz, bringing together works of artists who work with lightboth Mexicans and foreigners. You can see them from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., until October 29.
