Santo Domingo.- The National Meteorological Office (Onamet) reported this Thursday that in the weather conditions we will have mostly sunny skies with little chance of rain, this due to the incidence of the high pressure system.
However, Onamet explained that in the afternoon the east/northeast wind will enter some cloudy passengers that may produce short-term showers in isolated sectors of the northeast, southeast and minimally in the center of the country, with the provinces receiving rainfall: María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná, El Seibo, Hato Mayor, Monte Plata and specific areas of Greater Santo Domingo.
Regarding the temperatures, he said that they will be pleasant to cool, especially at night and early morning with values between 10°C and 15°C in mountainous areas and some inland valleys, such as: Constanza, Jarabacoa, Hondo Valle and Polo, and may be lower in higher altitude areas.

He recalled that the Maritime recommendation on the Caribbean coast for the operators of the fragile and small boats, to navigate carefully near the coastal perimeter without venturing out to sea, due to abnormal wind and waves, mainly from Cabo Beata (Pedernales) to Paraíso (Barahona).
For tomorrow, Friday, a weak trough and the east/northeast wind will provide higher moisture content, which, by positioning itself on our orography, may generate episodes of weak to moderate showers locally in sectors of the north, northeast regions from early in the day , southeast and Cordillera Central, registering in towns in the provinces of Puerto Plata, María Trinidad Sánchez, Samaná, Hato Mayor, El Seibo, La Altagracia, Monte Plata, Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, Monsignor Noel, El Gran Santo Domingo, among others in the interior . Even so, the high pressure system will continue to influence, that is, keeping a good part of our territory with few clouds and sun.
