The weather forecasts for this one sunday january 8 point to a day somewhat cloudy with periods of clear and mainly hot.
The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (inumet) forecasts a cloudy sky with gusts of wind that can reach 40 km/h during the afternoon. 78% humidity is also expected. Forecast temperatures range from a minimum of 18 ºC to a maximum of 30 ºC.

The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology also warned about a “very high” risk of forest fires and “extremely high” levels of UV index.
Summer 2023, according to Inumet
The summer 2023 will be “quite similar to the previous one”: deficit in terms of rainfall and “warmer than usual”according to the director of Meteorology and Climate of the Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet), Néstor Santayana.
Regarding the specific phenomenon of heat waves, the director of Meteorology and Climate noted that the statistics of recent years are maintained, while there are three heat waves per year concentrated between December and February (or even early March).
“What has been noticed more is that records have been broken more by elevated temperatures than by lower temperatures with respect to waves of heat and cold, which we also forecast three per year”, the expert deepened.
