Weapons and ammunition brought from the US seized to create chaos in the country

More than 200 parts and pieces of war weapons from the United States (US) were seized to kill Venezuelans and generate chaos in the country, revealed on Thursday night the Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace, AJ. Remigio Ceballos Ichaso.

“We have seized 218 parts and pieces of war weapons, which would later be distributed to kill citizens,” he said. He also reported on “the confiscation of 1,843 rounds of ammunition, 1 revolver, pickup trucks and watercraft, as well as an aircraft, used to destroy and create chaos among the Venezuelan people,” the press release quotes.

In this regard, in statements made at the headquarters of the Ministry of People’s Power for Internal Relations, Justice and Peace (Mpprijp) in Caracas, its head reported that two citizens were arrested for transporting weapons of war and ammunition from the United States of America, to unleash violence in the country.

The detainees are Argenis José Mavares Alcalá, former official of the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (CICPC) and Leonardo Attilio Micaletti Hernández, former pilot, who were captured by officers of the Scientific Police after investigative work at Avenida Sur 4, Santa Teresa parish, Quinta Crespo, Caracas.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Justice and Peace also explained that “we have captured and neutralized a criminal organization, a “Comandito” of the Vente Venezuela partywhich has become a terrorist group that traffics, assembles and sells weapons of war.”

He also indicated that these weapons, which came from the United States, were transported in a wooden box with a double bottom, the upper part of which showed tools, while the inner part contained the parts and pieces for assembling war weapons.

In this regard, he detailed the participation of a collaborator named Mauricio Andrade Santamaría, a Venezuelan and active US military officer, who after holding conversations with Micalletti, sent these weapons through a citizen named Jean Carlos Michell Ramirez, in charge of shipping them to the country.

Finally, he stressed that “this coup attempt, discovered and neutralized by the public security agencies, demonstrates the high level of training and capacity to expose the criminal structure that threatens the peace and stability of the country, as announced by the President of the Republic.”
