Santo Domingo.– The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) reported that for this Saturday the incidence of a weak frontal system is expected, associated with an anticyclonic system, which will limit the occurrence of significant rains in much of the national territory.
However, during the early morning and morning hours there will be some weak and isolated rains towards the Atlantic coast, as well as in the towns of Monte Plata, Monseñor Nouel, Santiago, La Vega and Duarte, product of the northeast wind flow that drags cloud fields towards the country.
Indomet explained that in the afternoon some local showers are expected in provinces of the east, northeast and the central region, including La Altagracia, La Romana, San Pedro de Macorís, Santo Domingo, San Cristóbal, Monseñor Nouel and La Vega. Precipitation could also occur in Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Santiago Rodríguez and Elías Piña, extending until the early hours of the night.

Temperatures will continue to be cool and pleasant, with a greater sensation of cold in mountainous areas and inland valleys, where dense fog and mist could be recorded, conditions typical of the winter season and reinforced by the moderate wind from the northeast.
Regarding maritime conditions, Indomet recommended that operators of fragile, small and medium-sized vessels remain in port on the Atlantic coast, from Cabo San Rafael, in La Altagracia, to Cabo Cabrón, in Samaná.
For the rest of the Atlantic coast, he urged people to navigate with caution near the coastal perimeter and avoid going out to sea, due to moderate wind and abnormal waves.
