“We will comply with the agreements established in the Concertación”, says Patria Querida

The president of the Patria Querida Party, Sebastián Villarejo, in the company of the former candidate for Vice President, Patricia Dos Santos, received Efraín Alegre, today a candidate of the Concertación, at the PPQ premises to discuss the April 2023 elections.

“We will comply with the agreements established in the National Concertation, which appear in the 13-point document signed by the different political groups,” Villarejo said.

After the formalization of candidacies made by the TEI of the Concertación, Villarejo and Dos Santos also delivered the proposals of Patria Querida to Alegre. They stated that it is essential to fight corruption and prebendaryism, to offer decent health, education and security services for all citizens.

“We must fight poverty, and focus on entrepreneurship, a thriving private sector that invests and generates sustainable jobs, with respect for private property and predictability in State policies that promote investments in Paraguay,” emphasized Villarejo.

For her part, Patricia Dos Santos affirmed that PPQ, as an institution, accepts the result of the polls, and as a Party “we hand over to the Concertación a line of government focused on the strength and efficiency of State institutions, which must be reoriented to be at the service of the people,” he said.

“We will ensure that the transversal principles of good governance are taken into account in this platform,” they added.
