The Uruguayan church is preparing for, in four weeks, the beatification of Jacinto Vera.

In the Easter of the Resurrectionin which the Catholic Church recalls the passage from death to life of Jesus, Cardinal Daniel Sturla dedicated a message to interior and family openness to shelter those most in need.
Sturla, dressed in the typical attire of the Sunday that closes Holy Week, spent four minutes explaining the most human meaning of religious commemoration, how the etymology of “Easter” includes the action of “passing” from slavery to freedom, from death to life or from evil to good.
In this sense, he said that the Church is preparing for the beatification of Jacinto Vera, a Uruguayan ex-bishop whom the cardinal defined as “the best witness of Christ that this country had.” In four weeks it will be the date that Vera will be considered blessed.
