With the presence of President Iván Duque, the International ICT Congress, Andicom, which is held in Cartagena, was officially inaugurated.
The president took advantage of the space to share a reflection on the importance of integrating two concepts: technology and sustainability.
“It is the fourth time that I have participated in Andicom, but I wanted to share a reflection, we want to unite two concepts, that of sustainability and that of technology, and what should be their integration in the country. We are not experiencing a climate challenge, we are really experiencing a climate crisis that is affecting the world (….) ”, affirmed the president.

Likewise, Duque pointed out the importance of including the Sustainability.
“The Sustainability It is the way. Because here, where you see it, we have the opportunity for Green FinTech (finance with green technology) ”, said the president.
The president also highlighted the importance of technology for the energy sector, and how this has allowed the insertion of new key technologies for the energy transition.
“We have another challenge, electric vehicles, or clean mobility. In the Government we sanctioned a law and we plan to close with about 6,000 electric vehicles rolling through the streets of Colombia, that goal is yet to be achieved, but also thanks to regulatory aspects. Today we have the largest electric public passenger transport fleet in Latin America ”, said the president, who highlighted the services of Transmilenio, and the Medellín and Cali systems.
Finally, the president highlighted the commitment and progress of many companies in the country for the transformation and care of the environment.
