The 14 measures against gentrification in Band 1
1. Rent increase limit housing: it cannot be higher than the inflation of the previous year reported by the INEGI.
2. Establish a Reasonable Rental Price Index to stabilize incomes in Real Estate Stress Areas.
3. Strengthen the regulation of short-term rental housing on platforms like Airbnb.
4. Create the Ombudsman of Tenant Rights to enforce the rights of tenants and landlords.
5. Submit a Fair, Reasonable and Affordable Rents Act initiative to regulate housing rental prices in Mexico City.
6. Prioritize the public housing production in the central city and in the Real Estate Tension Zones.
7. In Real Estate Tension Zones, the public rental housing program.
8. Expand the housing improvement program, especially in “progressive new housing”which allows an existing home to be expanded to create “family condominiums.”
9. Together with the private sector, combat real estate speculation and promote the production of affordable housing in Real Estate Stress Areas.
10. Build with the participation of the inhabitants a master planning plan to reduce inequalities in Real Estate Stress Areas.
11. Boost a Community roots program and protection and preservation of public space and Historical, Cultural and Artistic Heritage, in neighborhoods and neighborhoods.
12. A special program will be held incentives for local businesses.
