We already knew it: Venezuela is a fraud

A few weeks ago, presidential elections were held in Venezuela, despite the hopes of millions of Venezuelans both within the country and abroad, that with the elections Maduro would accept that he does not have the necessary support to govern in a democracy; however, it is there where reality is felt, because what happened on July 28 was a theater to pretend a reelection of Maduro with parameters of democratic countries, with the exception that the opposition leader with the support of the witnesses of tables and Chavista forces opposed to Maduro compiled the minutes of the voting tables; the fraud that Maduro committed was to manipulate the votes, but not the minutes of each electoral table (the Maduristas trusted that the minutes would not be compiled so quickly from the citizens); now the problem is that Maduro is officially a dictator, although he acted as such since 2014.

The above was known to every Venezuelan (myself included) because in a country where more than 8 million people emigrate, the political forces that have destroyed an entire nation in 25 years cannot democratically win elections. It all began in Hugo Chavez’s first term. We Venezuelans also know that Maduro will not be elected by electoral votes. There are several ways in which he must leave power, but they are all detrimental to the dictator and his entourage. That is why every day that passes since July 28th, the solution will become more complex. While that happens, thousands of Venezuelans will continue to leave (another two million are estimated), those who remain in Venezuela are starving (among them some direct relatives) and irregular armed groups are taking over territories protected by Maduro.

Finally, some Venezuelans believe that this nightmare will pass, but in the medium or long term because a transition to democracy has barely begun, having as a first step to demonstrate with electoral records in hand that Maduro no longer has votes (in 2014 he did the same, but nobody in the world believed us); however, he still has the power of weapons that he will also lose at some point, only God and Godfather Lopez know.
