After the Ministry of Health (MINSA) reported an outbreak of vomiting and diarrhea in sectors of David in the province of Chiriquí, the Institute of National Aqueducts and Sewers (IDAAN) said that they have reviewed the logs and laboratory records of our water treatment plants and systems finding everything within normality.
They indicated that the results of the initial tests showed that the levels of residual chlorine are present in the distribution network, therefore it is guaranteed that the consumption of water is safe.
They also assured that they maintain and have increased the frequency of sampling and analysis until the authorities indicate them.
“We maintain the monitoring of all the operations of the water treatment plants and underground source stations of IDAAN coverage, guaranteeing the operation and high quality standards,” they pointed out.
