FA statement
Arises from the meeting held in Agraciada the need to focus on some specific measures within those already proposed by our political force, which effectively ensure the supply of water for production, ensure the feeding of the different categories of animals and be able to specify the early planting of verdeos as a way of rebuilding the forage supply.
It is in this sense that we propose to deepen and specify the following measures:
1. At the CECOED level, ensure the supply of water for human and animal consumption in all territories, particularly in the Agraciada area where this service has not yet been implemented by the Local Board.
2. The bench of councilors of FA Soriano will direct this management in the corresponding areas.
3. Proceed to an effective distribution of fodder and concentrated food destined for small and medium-sized livestock producers that allows them to cope with the forage crisis, avoiding mortality and the liquidation of stocks in totally adverse situations. This supply must take into account the cost and financing in accordance with the prospects of recovery of the activity.
4. Develop a system for supplying seeds and fertilizers for the sowing of winter greens of rapid installation and production in order to recompose the supply of pastures in different situations during the fall. This system must take into account the extreme illiquidity that farms are going through and that the return on these investments will only be generated after next spring.
5. Urgently implement the agreement established between the MGAP and the Congress of Mayors to channel the MAS WATER FOR PRODUCTION projects, which had been interrupted in their design and execution.
6. To support this initiative, it is necessary to strengthen the operation of the MGAP territorial services and urgently convene the Departmental Agricultural Councils and the Rural Development Roundtables, essential institutions to organize these measures.
This Commission will carry out the raising of these proposals in the different areas of our political force, channeling them before the national and departmental government and carrying out the corresponding follow-up.
