The National Tax and Customs Directorate (Dian) published a report in which it announced the next dates on which the tax reforms will be carried out. auctions of jewelry, precious and non-precious metals and vehicles.

According to the Dian, public auctions are a method by which it makes available to people seized, confiscated or abandoned goods that are the result of its control work. The idea with this mechanism is that the entity can secure greater resources for the Nation.
In the first quarter of the year, according to a press release, the entity managed to sell $ 10,968,016,386 through this means. The items that sold the most were undoubtedly jewelry, including watches, chains, bracelets, rings, earrings and other gold and silver accessories.

All sales were virtual auctions, in which the public was invited to participate.
When will the next Dian virtual auction take place?
The Dian is preparing 5 more auctions for the remainder of the year, according to the following schedule disclosed in a statement published through its digital channels.
- July: 29 and 31: jewelry.
- August: jewelry and precious and non-precious metals.
- September: vehicles.
- October: one for jewelry and another for vehicles.
Banco Popular’s ‘El Martillo’ platform will be Dian’s ally so that those interested in purchasing jewelry and other items can find out what’s available and make their offers.
Some jewelry prices, according to information from El Tiempo, will start from 207,000 pesos.
