The retail giant Wal-Mart of Mexico (walmex) said on Thursday that his earnings increased 10% during the third trimester, buoyed by strong sales as it works to keep prices low at a time of persistently high inflation.
walmexwith operations also in Central America, reported a net profit of 12,153 million pesos (604 million dollars) compared to 11,049 million pesos in the same period of 2021.
The total revenue of the retailer, unit of the American Walmartrose 12.4% year-on-year to 197,885 million pesos, with an increase of 12.3% from your sales in Mexico and 15% in Central America.
The company highlighted in its report that between July and September it opened 26 new stores and that e-commerce represented 4.8% of its total sales in Mexico.
Its EBITDA in the quarter grew 5.6% to 21,163 million pesos.
