Wall Street Stocks Rise on Hopes AI Boom Not a Bubble

The actions of the main indices of the United States stock market They reversed the losing streak of the last four days. During the day, the S&P500 index rose 0.32%, an advance that was also seen in the Dow Jones (-0.23%) and Nasdaq (+0.21%) indexes, according to Bloomberg.

The correction of the indices occurred before Nvidia, the main supplier of chips for the production of artificial intelligence machines, presented results. The company is expected to make this presentation in the evening, which will offer an x-ray of demand for the chips that are at the center of the artificial intelligence boom.

The semiconductor maker’s results will help investors assess the validity of concerns about excessive valuations.

“With each passing quarter, Nvidia’s results become more important in clarifying where AI is moving and how much it is spending,” Brian Stutland, chief investment officer at Nvidia investor Equity Armor Investments, told Reuters.

Despite bubble fears, demand for Nvidia chips remains strong, with cloud giants including Microsoft investing billions in AI data centers. Alphabet, Google’s parent company, rose more than 4% and is set to close at an all-time high. Nvidia advanced 1.98%.

Given the weight of the company, valued at $4.5 trillion in the broadest indices, the reaction to its results and outlook could drag the entire market up or down.
