The New York Stock Exchange closed lower on Thursday, failing to maintain Wednesday’s momentum given the lack of progress towards an understanding in talks between Ukraine and Russia, while commodity prices soar.
The Dow Jones lost 0.29%, the technological Nasdaq lost 1.56% and the S&P 500 0.53%.
Ukraine and Russia have agreed to create humanitarian corridors to evacuate civilians, both sides said Thursday after a second round of talks on the eighth day of war.
