Wall Street closes in green and Dow gains 1.63% on good inflation data

The Nasdaq market composite index was the most benefited on this day, gaining 360.88 units and staying at 12,854.81.

The stock market reacts like this with resounding optimism to the interannual inflation data for July, of 8.5%, six tenths less than that registered in June and which was then the highest level in four decades.

According to published data this Wednesday by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the year-over-year decline comes after consumer prices have remained stable (0%) this month, thanks mainly to the drop in gasoline prices, which was 7.7% in July.

The drop in the rate of inflation gives a little respite to the US economy, which at the end of July entered into what experts consider a technical recession by chaining two quarters of falls in the gross domestic product (GDP), diagnosis that don’t share the Government of Joe Biden.

Already the inflation data, better than those expected by analysts, were very well received in Europe, where the Frankfurt, Paris, London, Milan and Madrid stock markets all closed higher, while than the Euro Stoxx 50, an index that encompasses to the European companies with the largest capitalization, it has risen 0.91%.

By sectors, all closed today in green, with the highest profits recorded in raw materials (2.88%), non-commodity goods essential (2.87%) and technological (2.77 %).

Among the 30 values ​​of the Dow Jones, all least one also ended in profit, with the biggest gains for Walt Disney (3,98%), Salesforce (3.5%) and Goldman Sachs (3.35%).

In other markets, the Texas oil rose 1.6% to 91.93 dollars a barrel, and at the close of Wall Street gold went down to 1.807.2 dollars an ounce, the profitability of the 10-year US bond fell slightly to 2.792% and the dollar lost ground against the euro, with a change of 1.031.
