Caixa Econômica Federal paid this Monday (17) the salary bonus for about 1.1 million workers. Payments cover benefits that were subject to a value review, that have a judicial origin or that were not withdrawn during the calendars already closed, between 2016 and 2020. Law 7,998/90the salary bonus is equivalent to a maximum of one minimum wage, currently R$ 1,212, paid to professionals who earn up to two minimum wages.
Payment amounts vary according to the number of days worked during the base year. In this complementary lot, the average amount to be paid is R$398.99, ranging from R$101 to R$1,212 per installment. The credit will be made directly into an account that the worker has in Caixa or in a digital social savings account automatically opened in his name, which can be operated by the Caixa Tem app.
Caixa informs that, if it is not possible to open the digital account, the withdrawal can be made with the Citizen Card and password at self-service terminals, lottery units, Caixa Aqui or branches. The installments not credited to the account will be available for receipt until December 29th.
As of this year, Caixa started to act specifically as a paying agent for the salary bonus, with the Ministry of Labor and Pensions being responsible for managing the program and qualifying workers who are entitled to the benefit.

To receive the salary bonus, the worker must meet certain requirements:
– Be registered in PIS for at least five years;
– Have received an average monthly remuneration of up to two minimum wages during the base year;
– Have exercised remunerated activity for a Legal Entity, for at least 30 days, consecutive or not, in the base year considered for calculation;
– Have your data correctly informed by the employer (legal entity) in the Annual Report of Social Information (RAIS)/eSocial.
