A new blow to drug trafficking was recorded in Ayacucho. In a joint operation, the VRAEM Special Command, the 2nd Infantry Brigade of the Peruvian Army and the DIVMCTID-VRAEM of the National Police located and destroyed two rustic laboratories dedicated to Illicit Drug Trafficking in the district of Anco, province of La Mar.

During the intervention, law enforcement forces seized 640 kilos of cocaine alkaloid, distributed in three warehouses within both facilities. Also seized were 10 drums of acetone, 3 drums of fuel, 5 gallon jugs of acetone and nearly 5 tons of debris from the illicit activity. All material and environments were destroyed on site.
