Eleven people arrested and at least four vehicles, some buildings, and 41 drums of sulfuric acid, 28 tons of acetone, rifles, pistols, ammunition, four vehicles, cell phones and money seized, is the result of a mega operation carried out by the police in regions such as Cusco, Lima, Junín and Pasco. The criminal gang diverted chemical inputs to make drugs in the Vraem.
The people under investigation are believed to be part of the criminal gang “Ojos Lindos,” which is dedicated to promoting and facilitating illegal drug trafficking in the VRAEM. In the Junín region, the cities of La Oroya and Carhuamayo are part of the investigation.
In the capital of the country, Timoteo Espinoza Dolores “Flaco”, Krener Ore Moreyra, Zosimo Espinoza Dolores, Percy Gomez Quispe and Alfredo Chavez Llana, alias Chavelo, were arrested. In Pasco, Cesar Campos Vicente, Victor Verga Travezaño and Eloy Travezaño Bonilla were arrested.
Meanwhile, in the Junín region, Betzy Tejada Burgos and Luis Bendezú Castillo (La Oroya) and Fralex Bujele Salazar (Junín) were arrested. The operation was carried out by the Vraem Police Front.
