In addition, they concluded that the subjects had “regulated” the movement of the troops from the Natividad Police Station, and knew that on Friday mornings they routinely went out to buy groceries.

VRAEM police sources told La República that comrade “Carlos” leads an armed column, whose area of action is on the left bank of the Ene River, specifically in the area of the Vizcatán del Ene district (Satipo province, Junín). .

In order to attack the policemen, he had to cross to the right bank of the Ene, and continue on the road to the Apurímac River, in the vicinity of which are Natividad, where the police station is located, and Puerto Cocos, which is the place where the troops went to buy fish and other food.

The aforementioned DIGIMIN reports indicated that in order to eliminate the MPCP it was important to win over the population, particularly those engaged in the illegal cultivation of coca leaves.

These people consider the narco-terrorists of the MPCP as their defenders, because both survive on the resources obtained from the criminal circuit of drug trafficking. That explains the Natividad massacre.
