Popular Will (VP) demanded to know the whereabouts of its activist José Riera, who was arrested 21 days ago and whose imprisonment is unknown to the party or relatives of the leader.
«20 days in which his family and friends know nothing about him. Not only do we know where it is, the most serious thing is that we do not know if it is still alive. This has to stop now, ”said Adriana Pichardo, a political coordinator in charge of VP, in A video.
He demanded that the activist appear “healthy, except and free”, while assuring that “he has not committed any crime.”
Also, Pichardo held Nicolás Maduro and his officials about Riera’s physical integrity.

José Riera, national leader of the party and member of the National Activist Team (ENA), was arrested on the two roads, east of Caracas, and is missing since Saturday afternoon July 26.
For its part, the Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners said that Riera’s relatives have traveled “multiple seclusion centers,” where they have denied their presence.
Also, according to the NGO, Riera’s relatives have come to the Prosecutor’s Office, where they introduced “complaints for disappearance”, but the institution said “not having data about their whereabouts.”

“His family fears for his physical integrity and his life, especially because he requires permanent medication for the treatment of arterial hypertension and allergic paintings,” he warned.
The Committee demanded that the State inform “immediately” about the reasons and place of detention of José Riera, in addition to “allowing access to trusted, family and urgent medical care lawyers.”
He also requested that an “independent investigation into her detention and disappearance” and the pronouncement of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights on this case, as well as Nancy Caramaro and the journalist Rory Branker “who remain forced disappearance”.
