Voting online from abroad towards June 5 begins this Saturday

The socialization period

The socialization period for you to become familiar with the Sivei began at 00:00 on May 7 and ended at 11:59 p.m. on May 18, Central Mexico time.

This Saturday, May 21 at 8:00 p.m. and until June 5 at 6:00 p.m., Mexico City time, Mexicans living abroad from Aguascalientes, Durango, Oaxaca or Tamaulipas will be able to Cast your vote online to elect the governor of your respective entity.

In the morning, INE authorities, in the presence of the representatives of the political parties, as well as auditors, will carry out the opening protocol of the system.

By unanimity of votes, the General Council of the INE approved on May 9 modifications to the election regulations and the respective guidelines, to establish as a permanent activity the modality of electronic voting by internet for Mexicans residing abroad, in all processes federal and local elections, as well as citizen participation mechanisms.
