Voters from six cities went back to the polls today (27) to elect mayors and deputy mayors. The election covers the municipalities of Tanabi (SP), Pedro Velho (RN), Canguaretama (RN), Maraial (PE), Ibitirama (ES) and Maiquinique (BA).
Voting continues until 5 pm. Voters must present a physical or digital electoral card and an official document with a photo, such as RG, CNH or passport.
Supplementary elections occur when more than half of the votes granted to the candidate – in this case, the mayor – are annulled. The annulment is determined by decision of the Electoral Justice that denied the registration of candidacy or annulled the diploma or the mandate of the already elected politician.
