The Cuban men’s volleyball team fell this Friday in five sets against the powerful cast of Brazil at the beginning of the 20th edition of the World Championship Volleyball, which will host Slovenia and Poland until next September 11.
The duel corresponding to group B of the contest took place in the Slovak city of Ljubljana, where the disciples of Nicolás Vives managed to triumph in the first two partials with scores of 33-31 and 25-21, but later gave up in the remaining three, due to 16-25, 17-25 and 16-18, according to the report of the Cuban News Agency (ACN).

The media points out that the Cubans had a very good start against the Brazilian favorites, and managed to tip the balance in their favor in the first two sets, but the leadership of the South American team made changes in the regulars that guaranteed them to triumph in the following two sets and match the match.
