The Brazilian team was defeated by Italy by 3 sets to 2 (25/22, 22/25, 30/38, 22/25 and 13/15), on Saturday morning (6) in Bangkok (Thailand), and missed the opportunity to compete for the decision of the Women’s Volleyball World Championship. Now, the team led by coach José Roberto Guimarães will seek the bronze medal.

After a very disputed match against Italy in the semifinal, decided at Tie-Break, our team will fight for the Bronze Medal of the Volleyball World Cup. This Sunday (7/9), at 5:30 am, the duel is against Japan.

“It is not easy to leave a match like this where we had a lot of opportunities. Italy showed why it is the best team in the world and knew how to play in moments of pressure. It is a very solid team, we managed to mark their team at times, but they have a very strong bank.
Now, Brazil will measure forces with Japan, from 5:30 am (Brasília time) next Sunday (27). The decision of the World Championship will be disputed between Italy and Türkiye.
