Voices for inclusion will award $15,000 to the three most innovative ideas of young Latin Americans

Starting today, Thursday, August 25, until October 19, young people between the ages of 18 and 32 who reside in Peru, Chile, Bolivia, Colombia, and Panama, will be able to apply for their initiatives on the website vozcredicorp.com to participate in the VOCES program. for inclusion, which was launched by Credicorp, Peru’s leading financial holding company with operations in various Latin American countries.

The initiatives must be focused on promoting financial education and inclusion for more men and women in Latin America through digitization. Once the application and evaluation time has closed, the 10 most innovative initiatives that remain as finalists of VOCES for Inclusion will be part of a unique meeting in Lima (Peru), designed to hear and empower the young voices of Latin America.

“In the difficult regional context that we live in, after the widening of gaps generated by the COVID 19 pandemic, we believe that digitization is an enabler of inclusion. We have witnessed how digitalization reduces geographical barriers between people and allows them to interact with solutions that simplify their lives. For this reason, today we are launching VOCES for Inclusion, to promote the acceleration of the changes that Latin America needs based on a main premise: listen to the young people of the region and help their ideas reach where they should go”, said Gianfranco Ferrari , CEO of Credicorp.

The 3 winning ideas of the contest will be announced in December. In addition to receiving specialized mentoring and support to raise the visibility of their ideas, the proponents of these ideas will receive an economic prize of US$15,000 per team to promote their development and a representative of each winning idea will have access to the unique experience of attending the One Young World Summit 2023 in Belfast, the world’s largest network of work for social change.

“For the selection of the 3 winning ideas, among the 10 finalists, we will have the privilege of having an outstanding and diverse Evaluation Committee, which I thank for continuing to champion, from each of its areas, the change among the youth of the region,” added Ferrari. The Evaluation Committee of VOCES for inclusion, which will be led by the CEO of Credicorp, will have outstanding professionals from each of the participating countries.

Mariana Costa, founder of Laboratoria (Peru); David Gereda, Development Director of One Young World (Colombia); Allison Silva, founder of the Fundación Emprender Futuro (Bolivia); Ana María Montoya, co-founder of the Red ProCompetencia (Chile); and José Alejandro Rodríguez, coordinator of Dame un Chance (Panama) will be the people who will qualify, together with Ferrari, the finalist initiatives, with a 60% weight on the final rating of the contest. While the other 40% of the final rating will come from the vote of the citizens of our region.

“On behalf of Credicorp, I invite all young people in the region to go to vozcredicorp.com, where they can find all the details of the project, and thus join VOCES for Inclusion. So that, together, we continue accelerating the changes that our countries need”, concluded the CEO of Credicorp.
