The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Morosannounced the ratification of the General in Chief of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Vladimir Padrino Lopezas Minister of Popular Power for Defense.
During the joint Graduation in the different categories of Command, Technicians and Troops, and pass to the Active Reserve of the 1990 Promotions of the FANB, held in the Patio of the Bolivarian Military Academy, in Caracas, the head of State thanked the loyalty and Padrino López’s commitment to the defense of the nation and asked the entire Armed Forces to give him full support to continue advancing in the country’s strategic plans.
The Commander in Chief of the FANB, Nicolás Maduro, also announced changes in various components of the military corps, including: Army, Navy, Bolivarian National Guard and Bolivarian Militia. Likewise, he ratified in his position the Operational Strategic Commander of the FANB, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez and the commander of the Aviation, M/G Santiago Infante.

He highlighted the work of Hernández Lárez and assured that “he is fighting to recover the Venezuelan jungle and national parks, in the midst of the battle to combat criminal gangs in the country and the liberation of the Venezuelan coasts.”
Regarding the new appointments, President Maduro appointed in the General Command of the Army of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Major General Jose Antonio Murga Baptista, who has just served as Commander of the Central Integral Defense Region (REDI), replacing M/G Félix Osorio, whom he thanked for his extraordinary work at the head of the Bolivarian Army. “Mission Accomplished!” He asserted.
Likewise, he appointed Admiral Neil Jesús Villamizar Sánchez, as the new Commander of the Bolivarian Navy, “a patriot who has just completed a great career” and who replaces Admiral Brito who also performed a praiseworthy job.
In the Bolivarian National Guard, the head of state appointed the M/G Elio Estrada“who has just completed a great job in the consolidation of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB)” and as the new General Commander of the Bolivarian National Militia, appointed the M/G Javier Marcano Tabata.
“What good leaders we have in the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, a leadership on foot, a moral, patriotic and hard-working leadership, who knows what the word sacrifice, effort, loyalty and its value is (…) they know it, they practice it, they teach it with their example, with their word and they spread it. What a good leadership!” concluded the head of state.
