The secretary general of Peru Libre, Vladimir Cerrón, criticized the former presidential candidate, Verónika Mendoza, because the president of the New Peru movement, Anahí Durand, has a labor relationship with the current government.
In his social networks, he considered that Durand, who was Minister of Women, is the “extension of Verónika Mendoza”.
“New Peru accuses the Government of being a traitor, but the prolongation of Verónika Mendoza, works in the PCM, where is the dignity that verocaviarism demands so much?“, wrote.
In his publication, Cerrón Rojas shows a document in which he realizes that Durand is a consultant to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
His statement comes after Mendoza, who led New Peru before Durand took office, criticized on his social networks the measures taken by President Pedro Castillo in the face of the current social crisis.
Last Tuesday, Mendoza, who in the second electoral round of 2021 supported Pedro Castillo with the signing of a list of commitments between Peru Libre, Together for Peru and other leftist groups, pointed out that the Executive is taking the same strategies of the right.
“My total rejection of this arbitrary and disproportionate measure that was previously imposed in the ‘Mining Corridor of the South’ and other regions and that never resolved anything but, on the contrary, put human rights at risk and deepened the distance between the State and people”, wrote on social networks.
