The Minister of Health of the Nation, Carla Vizzotti; and her pair from Salta, Juan José Esteban, recognized the work of the vaccinators in their day, with a ceremony held this Friday at the monument to General Martín Miguel de Güemes, in the city of Salta.
“Today is the National Day of the Vaccinator and the Vaccinator and the truth is that it is very important and the law expressly says so; value and really recognize the immense work they do in Argentina, since before the pandemic, in house-to-house work, and in vaccinations, evacuating doubts, fears, offering hugs so that the vaccines reach the population “Vizzotti said.
“Salta has a huge history in vaccination, since the State reaches every corner, despite the geographical and climatic difficulties, to bring the vaccine closer to the population and reduce diseases,” said the minister, who this Friday also visited the Salta town of Rivadavia Banda Sur.
Later, he stated that the vaccination campaign against Covid 19 “made them very visible”and it was “the largest in our history”, adding that “the demand for coronavirus vaccines is just falling a little bit and vaccinators are already preparing for the campaign against measles and polio, which begins on October 1 ”.

“We always try to celebrate the important days with the protagonists, in the territory,” concluded Vizzotti.
For his part, Esteban congratulated all the vaccinators for their dedication to service and commitment manifested in each hospital, health center and mobile vaccination post.
“Our vaccinators are present in the 60 municipalities of the provincewith very important work logistics, completing the schedule for the National Calendar and coronavirus vaccines in health facilities, schools, colleges and universities, squares, parks, shopping malls, sporting and recreational events, pharmacies, among others,” he said.
In the morning, in Rivadavia Banda Sur, Vizzotti and Esteban supervised the immunization stand that was posted in the main square and congratulated the health team of the “Enfermero Santos Villagra” hospital for their great work, before, throughout and after of the pandemic.

Since the launch of the Vaccination Campaign against Covid-19, the Salta Ministry of Public Health has administered 2,855,477 doses, of which 1,190,563 correspond to the first component, 1,026,001 to the second, 3,887 are single-use, 56,374 additional, 487,950 from the first reinforcement and 90,702 from the second.
The head of the Salta Immunization Program, Adriana Jure, said that in the province “between one million two hundred and one million five hundred thousand doses of the vaccines contemplated in the National Calendar are inoculated annually.”
Since 2019, it is celebrated in Argentina, every August 26 this dayin tribute to the birth of Albert Sabin, creator of the oral polio vaccine which, together with the one created by Jonas Salk, stopped the pandemic that devastated the country in 1956.
This celebration was established through National Law 27491 to recognize the task, effort and commitment of health personnel who seek to immunize to prevent diseases.
