Virgilio Acuña on his appointment as vice minister of the MTC: “Where they put me there I am”

He referred to his appointment as Vice Minister of Transport of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) and stated that he will accept any position where they put him.

Speaking to Canal N, the former congressman pointed out that he is “engaged” with the country and said that the most important thing is the vocation of service to the country from any position.

“Compatriot, I am committed to my country, so wherever they put me there I am. When one is used to serving his country, everything is the same. The important thing is the service”he expressed.

“The guideline is national integration. My commitment is with the Amazon. My love and affection are with the Amazon”he added.

It should be noted that Acuña Peralta went to the Government Palace this Thursday to meet with the President of the Republic, Pedro Castillo.

As you remember, Virgilio Acuña, close friend of Antauro Humala and who meets frequently with Castillo Terrones, was appointed Vice Minister of Transportation through a resolution that bears the signatures of the president and the Minister of Transportation and Communications, Richard Tineo.

Brother of Cesar AcunaVirgilio Acuña was a congressman of the National Solidarity Alliance between 2011 and 2016 and recently tried to return to the Legislative Branch with the Union for Peru (UPP) party in the 2020 complementary elections, without success.

In recent years, Acuña Peralta has repeatedly reported on his closeness to Antauro Humala, who was released in August of this year after serving more than 17 years in prison for the ‘Andahuaylazo’.
