VIP flight for officials and politicians arrived at AIFA this Monday

Images shared by Diana Karina Barreras on social networks show that on the last leg of her trip to AIFA, at that time aboard a vehicle, she was also accompanied by Olga Sánchez Cordero, president of the Senate, and Arturo Zaldívar, minister president of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN), however, there is no confirmation that they were also on the aircraft.

According to the Reforma newspaper, the United States ambassador to Mexico, Ken Salazar, was another of those who arrived on the Mexican Air Force plane.

After months working against the clock with the support of the military, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador inaugurated the controversial Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) on Monday, after the cancellation of the project of his predecessor Enrique Peña Nieto.

In a massive event held in the passenger terminal of the new airport, hundreds of people including authorities, guests and onlookers applauded the delivery ceremony, reception and start of operations of the AIFA, whose construction was carried out by the Army in compliance with the time programmed.
