One of the 100 commitments of the first woman to head the presidency is to combat insecurity and, to achieve this, she proposed a four-axis strategy: attention to the causes, consolidation of the National Guard, strengthening of intelligence and investigation, and coordination with the federal entities.
“We are going to give results and this has to do with this coordination and this strategy. It is not from one day to the next, but the results will be noticeable,” Sheinbaum promised on November 12 in his morning conference.
But the figures show a high incidence of homicides. During October and November, violence marked the country from north to south: Sinaloa, Guanajuato, Querétaro, Tabasco, Guerrero, Morelos and Veracruz had several postcards of violence.
So far in the Sheinbaum administration there have also been at least five massacres with multiple victims.
During October – the month that Sheinbaum took office – 2,293 intentional homicides were recorded, in November there were 2,234 and on the first day of December there were 78 more murders, for a daily average of 75, according to the daily homicide report prepared by the Ministry of Security. and Citizen Protection.

The entities with the most murders last month (November) were Guanajuato, with 255; Sinaloa, 169; State of Mexico, 161; Baja California, 136; as well as Chihuahua and Morelos, with 114 each.
Guanajuato
It is the most violent entity in the country, the homicides do not stop. On the night of November 30, in the municipality of Apaseo El Grande, the murder of eight people and two more injuries were reported.
According to the first reports, a commando made up of armed individuals shot at customers of food establishments located in the area known as ‘Trébol de los Apaseos’.
The governor of Guanajuato, Libya Dennise García Muñoz Ledo, promised to find those responsible for this episode of violence.
“A public condemnation is not enough when what we want is justice and for these events not to be repeated, which is why we will find those responsible for this unfortunate event and we will continue to implement the new strategy. We reaffirm all support for the municipality and the families of the victims,” he wrote on his social networks.

Away from violence for months, this entity was touched by a struggle between criminal groups. The “Los Cantaritos” bar was the target of an attack that left 10 dead as part of a confrontation between the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG) and the Santa Rosa de Lima Cartel.
